"The heat of autumn is different from the heat of summer...One ripens apples and the other turns them to cider..." - Jane Hirshfield

Featured Item: {u.f.o} - falling slowly knit (Fatpack)

Hey, Stalkurs!

Ohmygoodness, my very first blog post!

I couldn't help but start with a post for ur.favorite.one! When they accepted me as a blogger it gave me hope that maybe I had a chance at this whole thing again--it was uplifting and I was just sooo excited!

So, before we get into the uber comfy 'falling slowly knit' by {u.f.o}, I just want to give a brief intro to my blog site! I hope you're all as excited as I am!

My biggest reason for producing the site is because I feel like Flickr is a little restricting in regards to how I want to portray the items given to me to blog. At Flickr, an image is worth a 1000 words, because you literally (normally) have just that ONE image to portray what it is you're needing to show--and sometimes that means items only get shown in a certain angle, in a certain light.

I've personally never been a huge fan of the 'magazine ad' styled images--you know which ones I mean. The ones where we have this awesome, beautiful main shot and then suddenly a circle that zooms in on, say, the shoes...the person is wearing. And I understand why it's a preference to blog that way, especially on Flickr, but it's just not a style I can personally get into...And I tried. I did a couple of shots that way before making my site, never posted them, hated them...and now we're here!

For my sponsored items, I hope to offer more angles of an item, maybe occasionally different lighting or a different pose just depending. Sometimes the additional shots will be Black Dragon raw and sometimes they'll be just minimally edited; no different from how I handle sponsored item posts on my Flickr. Here, I'm going to be totally free with my posts.

Which leads me to my second purpose for the website--all that picture freedom! I'm sure any SL photographer, no matter what level, has had that moment where they're sitting there and snapping around their shots and suddenly, on a whim, move their camera and...omg...this new shot is AMAZING!

Been there, done that too--and I always get tempted to post those items to Flickr as well, maybe as a series...but I dunno...I just never do? Maybe because I feel that, once my viewer sees the ONE image...that's all they really want to see of it? And that's probably me just being silly! But I don't feel that way with this.

And lastly--I think the text box size bothered me...a lot. I hate the idea of offering a huge wall of text that isn't broken up at least somewhat nicely...and no matter how hard I try, I tend to get long winded in things I want to say! So, for my Stalkurs, I now have options! If you love my rambling--please remember to check my blog for it! I can't promise I'll always have something interesting to say, but I'll have something more to say than just a pretty picture!

And if you like the short version: check my Flickr!

Thanks for lending an ear! Let's get into the item now!

'falling slowly knit' is a CUUUTE sweater with 16! color options in the fatpack! It's got some sort of neat fuzz texture to really give it that worn out, cozy look--and I just love the way the neckline's torn on one side! It's perfect for lazy days...or throw on some leggings and cute boots and you've got yourself an adorable, laid-back "going out" look!

It comes for Maitreya and Legacy bodies.

The item is featured at one of my favorite events, Collab 88!

You have just GOT to check it out!

Additional Items: ChiMia - Pumpkin Spice Latte (Wear) | [monso] - Ahri2 | On Location: Clef des champs.
